OMEGA 3 SALMON OIL
Do you need to increase your Omega 3 intake but don’t like fish?
Phytoitalia Salmon Oil pearls are the right product for you.
Salmon Oil is a source of Omega 3 fatty acids. Omega-3s are defined as “essential” because our body cannot produce them on its own and they must be introduced through diet. Where can we find them? Omega 3s are mainly found in salmon, in oily fish: sardines, mackerel, and anchovies. According to scientific studies, Omega 3 fatty acids have been shown to lower cholesterol and triglycerides in plasma. Skin, joints, and the nervous system can also benefit from Omega 3 intake. Additionally, they can improve muscle tone.
PHYTOSQUALENE
Squalene: shark liver oil. It is a product obtained from various shark species. It is very rich in essential omega-3 fatty acids but also contains other ingredients responsible for the shark’s strong immune defense: squalene, squalamine, and alkylglycerols. Squalene is a triterpene, an organic compound produced from acetyl-CoA that participates in the endogenous synthesis of cholesterol. It was named for its abundance in shark liver, its most abundant source.
However, it is fairly widespread in nature where it is present in decent amounts in olive oil, palm oil, wheat oil, amaranth oil, and rice oil.
Alkylglycerols are lipids present in the hematopoietic organs (especially bone marrow) of mammals and sharks, but also in breast milk. 20% of shark liver oil is composed of alkylglycerols. Squalamine belongs to the chemical group of aminosterols and is also named for its abundance in shark liver.
Squalene is present in sebum; besides contributing to skin hydration, it appears to be essential for reducing oxidative damage from free radicals, particularly reducing lipid peroxidation caused by UV solar rays. Since sebum production decreases with age, the use of supplements and topical applications based on squalene can help reduce signs of aging.
Squalene also seems useful in facilitating the elimination of xenobiotics (including drugs) from the body.
Squalamine is a compound best known for its antibacterial properties.
Alkylglycerols, on the other hand, stimulate hematopoiesis, the production of immunoglobulins.
