Mastiha is the natural resin of Pistacia lentiscus var. Chia, a tree that grows only on the Aegean island of Chios, Greece, with many beneficial qualities used since ancient times.

Oral use
If Mastiha is crushed, it becomes a sort of powder that can be used to flavor bread, cookies, yogurt, and pastry products.
To make a digestive drink: add 50g of Mastiha to one liter of water, leave to rest in the refrigerator overnight.
Note: the colder the Mastiha, the easier it is to powder without sticking.
