RED VINE
Red Vine or Vitis vinifera, known as Common Vine, belongs to the Vitaceae family.
The leaves have medicinal properties for the cardiovascular system; they indeed contain some polyphenolic derivatives, such as proanthocyanidins, flavonoid glucosides, which through their activity, defined as vitamin P, have a tonic action on the venous walls, and are indicated in all forms of varicose veins, phlebitis, hemorrhoids.
Modern controlled clinical trials have demonstrated the effectiveness of phenolic compounds in patients with peripheral vascular disorders, such as heaviness, edema, pain in the lower limbs, all of which showed a significant reduction.
A reduction was also recorded in the time needed to perform peripheral venous drainage, especially in patients with chronic venous insufficiency.
