EVENING PRIMROSE oil is useful in all skin conditions where it is necessary to maintain normal hydration, such as in psoriasis or atopic dermatitis, a disorder that also occurs in children, characterized by itching, redness, and skin scaling.
In women, it can be useful to counteract menstrual cycle disorders, and it may also help support joint function.
Evening primrose oil helps during spasms present in premenstrual syndrome or those of gastrointestinal origin.
It contributes to the physiological resolution of mastodynia (painful breast tension), irritability, acne, skin aging. It has no contraindications, BUT MUST NOT be used in combination with anticonvulsant drugs, as it lowers the threshold for triggering a convulsive attack.
